WeontLet’s talk

An opportunity.
Engineered into a business.

A connected path from market evidence to a new offer, market or business line.

THE BUSINESS QUESTION

How do we turn this opportunity into a commercial direction that can actually operate?

We investigate the opportunity, shape the offer and design the commercial and operational model together. Launch decisions follow evidence, with assumptions and responsibilities made explicit.

What we work on.

The precise scope is shaped around your context, priorities and operating constraints.

01

Opportunity & offer

Research the market and define the problem, audience and value proposition.

IN PRACTICE

We connect market evidence with a clear customer problem and an offer that can be tested. The work clarifies the target audience, expected value and the conditions under which the proposition is attractive. Assumptions about demand are kept separate from assumptions about the ability to deliver.

AN ILLUSTRATIVE SCENARIO

A new market may require a narrower initial offer that fits a particular buying situation and can be delivered with a controlled scope.

02

Commercial design

Develop positioning, routes to market, partnerships and the logic of acquisition and conversion.

IN PRACTICE

We design how the offer reaches its intended customers and becomes a commercial relationship. This includes positioning, acquisition channels, partnerships, qualification and the sales process. The route to market is connected to the resources and capabilities needed to operate it.

AN ILLUSTRATIVE SCENARIO

A partner-led entry model needs partner selection criteria, a value proposition for the partner, negotiation ownership and a way to manage shared opportunities.

03

Delivery & economics

Connect what is sold to the team, resources, process and economics needed to fulfil it.

IN PRACTICE

We design the operational side of the offer alongside its commercial promise. The work considers team structure, resource needs, process, service boundaries and the logic of costs and revenue. The model makes dependencies and constraints visible before commitments are scaled.

AN ILLUSTRATIVE SCENARIO

A new advisory service needs a defined method, delivery roles, review steps and pricing assumptions that reflect the work required.

04

Pilot & launch

Run a bounded test, evaluate the evidence and prepare the system for the next stage.

IN PRACTICE

We scope an initial operating test with clear responsibilities, limits and decision criteria. The pilot is designed to produce useful evidence about demand and delivery. Launch planning then addresses the changes needed to operate the direction more consistently, based on what the test actually shows.

AN ILLUSTRATIVE SCENARIO

A first set of engagements can test the offer and the delivery method, with findings used to refine scope, process and resource assumptions.

WHAT YOU TAKE FORWARD

A new direction with a clear rationale, a testable model and the capability to begin operating.

  • An evaluated opportunity and offer
  • A commercial and delivery model
  • A pilot plan with decision criteria
  • The operating foundations for launch

From the first conversation
to a useful outcome.

The working process is agreed around the engagement, with clear decisions at each stage.

ILLUSTRATIVE ENGAGEMENT

Building a commercial direction in a new market

An established company has identified demand in a new geography. We investigate the opportunity, shape an initial offer and design a route to market. In parallel, we work through the team, delivery process and economics required to fulfil that offer. A bounded pilot tests the important assumptions before the next commitment. The decision to expand follows the evidence from both market response and delivery.

A TYPICAL SCENARIO, NOT A CLIENT CASE STUDY.

Before we begin.

Can this be a standalone engagement?+

Yes. New Business Engineering can address a defined business need independently. If the work identifies a need for further research, architecture or implementation, that becomes a separate scope to agree, rather than an automatic extension of the engagement.

What do you need from our company?+

We begin with the business question and access to the people who understand it. Depending on the scope, the work may require existing research, business and process documentation, operational information or conversations with relevant stakeholders. Access and responsibilities are agreed before the work starts.

How are progress and results evaluated?+

We define the outputs, review points and acceptance criteria for the engagement. For an implemented system, we also agree the operational signals used to evaluate its performance. The measures should match the work in scope and the decisions each party can control.

Do we have to use Collty?+

Research, ontology and architecture can be delivered without adopting a new platform. For implementation work, we evaluate Collty alongside your existing environment and determine the appropriate configuration and integrations. Platform use and business engineering have distinct scopes.
